HYPNAGOGIA (2017)

Hypnagogic flashes appear as abstract suggestions that only last few seconds, usually isolated, of which it is not possible to control their appearance, content, and duration. During these brief moments the facts do not depend on the person and they exist in a “magical” dimension. Philosopher Timothy Morton in the text Realist Magic defines the human impossibility of catching reality in its entirety, asserting that at a perceptive level physical space and time are overshadowed by a dimension of sensual configuration situated in front of us. This presence-absence state is well-perceived during the oneiric phase but also in the vision of a photograph.
