Graduated in History of Art and specialized in History of Medieval and Modern Art, worked as a researcher for the National Centre of Research of the University of Florence, for which she held academic courses and, in particular from 2003 to 2008, lectured History of Photography as professor at the faculties of the Arts and of Architecture and at the School of Specialization of Art History.

She lectured history of art, history of the miniature, history of photography, recording and administration of photo libraries, organization of digital archives in Italian Universities, Secondary Schools, Masters, education institutes.

In 1985, she began her collaboration with Fratelli Alinari, for which she directed the photo library and the catalogue, she was responsible for the exhibition and the photographic catalogues; at present she is Director Responsible for the courses of Fratelli Alinari. Fondazione per la Storia della Fotografia and is responsible for the courses of preservation and restoration of Photography, with the collaboration of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure of Florence. She is professor of history of photography at the Apad-International Photography School of Florence. She held a course of Histor of Photography at the MFA in Imaging Arts – Photography of Fondazione Fotografia di Modena, at the MA of Restoration of Contemporary Art and Restoration courses at the Alta Scuola di Formazione e Studio dell’Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence.
